Amazon to officially open next week

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Shreveport's Amazon Fulfillment Center will open next week. The facility will hold a grand opening ceremony Sept. 27. The center has been in the works for over a year now and finally production is starting to ramp up. With the fulfillment center in Shreveport's backyard, you can expect your Amazon packages on your doorstep a lot sooner than before. "Yes, I think they will see higher traffic and more customers because we are in demand for certain things that they have," Shreveport resident Vergie Samuels said. "Lower prices and good value for the money that you spend.
