Amber Alert canceled for missing Jefferson County girl
The Statewide Amber Alert for a missing 7-year-old girl from Jefferson County was canceled Monday night, according to the U.S. National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The girl was last seen around 3 p.m. Monday on Midway Street in Empire when her father, who does not have custody of her, allegedly abducted her from a family member's home after an argument, authorities said.
The girl was located around 9 p.m. later that night, authorities said.
