Amy Poehler to Receive Robin Williams Legacy of Laughter Award at Bring Change to Mind Gala

Amy Poehler is set for top honors at Bring Change to Mind's 12th annual Revels & Revelations fundraiser.

The Inside Out 2 star will be feted with the Robin Williams Legacy of Laughter Award. Awarded by the late icon's children, Zak, Zelda and Cody, the honor is presented to entertainers "who spread laughter and awareness through acts of kindness, charity and revelatory honesty that makes people feel heard, seen and less alone, and through many ways, make the world a brighter, more open and caring place." Ryan Reynolds, Billy Crystal, Whoopi Goldberg, Ben Stiller, the Smith Family, Dan and Eugene Levy and Melissa McCarthy have received in years past.

Poehler will accept during an event held at a private residence in Woodside, Calif., on World Mental Health Day on Oct. 10. The Bay Area fundraiser will be hosted by Erich Bergen , the star of stage and screen who has worked with Glenn Close 's BC2M nonprofit on multiple events over the years as an event producer and host.

The Revels & Revelations program will also see multi-hyphenate Wayne Brady, a BC2M ambassador, presented with the Champion of Change Award for his advocacy and support of the org's high school students. Also making appearances during the event will be Billy Eichner and Chase Stokes . The Outer Banks star has with worked BC2M as a supporter and ambassador since 2020. A live auction will be led by TV personality Scott Nevins. Gilead Foundation is on board as a premier sponsor with additional support from Wheels Up and the St. Regis.

Founded by Close in 2010, BC2M is a national organization dedicated to end the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental illness by working with leading scientists to make a difference in the lives of teens and adults. The cause is personal for Close as her sister, Jessie, lives with bipolar disorder and her nephew, Calen, lives with schizoaffective disorder.
