Anna Stegura

Anna M. Stegura, 90, of Pittston, passed away Saturday morning at Wesley Village, Jenkins Township.
Born Oct. 17, 1915, in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Sochanic) Stegura.
She was an active member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Pittston.
She was a graduate of Pittston High School.
She worked for Western Union at Fort Dix, N.J., during World War II and later worked for Rex Shoe Factory, West Pittston. She also volunteered at the Wesley Village for 25 years and enjoyed quilting and gardening.
She is survived by a sister, Mary Lundon, Cherry Hill, N.J.; seven nieces and nephews: Michael and Paul Stegura, Olga Pirone, Charles, John and Robert Cebula and Mary Ann Messina; eight great-nieces and -nephews.
The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. from the Adonizio Funeral Home Inc., 251 William St., Pittston, with an Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. from St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Pittston, celebrated by the Rev. Michael Krulak.
Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Pittston.
Friends may call Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., with Parastas service at 6 p.m.
