Annunciation's 2024 Greek Bazaar has been canceled; here are scenes (and a recipe) from past bazaars

For 65 years, crowds showed up at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church for pastries, savory pies, Greek meals as well as culture and community.

Even a pandemic didn't stop the annual Greek Bazaar. For several years, the event moved to drive-through service the first weekend of November.

But delays in the church's kitchen renovations have canceled the 2024 bazaar , says Alexandra Schramm, co-chair of the event.

"Once the renovation is completed, it is our aim to be back next Fall and to have an expanded Gyrofest on the weekend of May 17, 2025," the church shared online .

Annually, a portion of proceeds from the bazaar are donated to local charities. The church parish council suggests donating directly to those charities .
