AP Rapid Reaction LIVE: Let’s talk Chiefs and Raiders

S.Martinez3 months ago
On Sunday afternoon, the Kansas City Chiefs started slow — but then they turned it on to defeat the Las Vegas Raiders 31-17 at Allegiant Stadium.

Both the offense and defense started off very slowly. The defense gave up an opening-drive touchdown. On the second drive, the Raiders marched downfield and missed a field goal. On the third Las Vegas possession, Josh Jacobs turned in on a 63-yard touchdown run.

At this point, the Raiders were up 14-0 as the Kansas City offense struggled to convert first downs — but then the Chiefs scored 21 unanswered points.

— Kansas City Chiefs November 26, 2023 During the Chiefs offensive barrage, Travis Kelce went over 11,000 career receiving yards — which he did faster than any tight end in NFL history. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was also showing off his accuracy to Kelce.

— Pete Sweeney November 26, 2023 Isiah Pacheco continued to prove he is a tough running back, gaining difficult yards inside (socrding twice on 1-yard rushes) and making pass receptions from the backfield.

Rookie wideout Rashee Rice was targeted often — and made plays. Those included a 39-yard catch-and-run for a touchdown. There’s no longer any doubt: the rookie is Mahomes’ No. 1 wide receiver.
