AP staff Monday Night Football preview, predictions and discussion for Week 12

Week 12 of the NFL season concludes with and NFC North matchup: the (3-8) Chicago Bears against the (6-5) Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis for “Monday Night Football” on ESPN and ABC — locally on KMBC/9.

This will be the second matchup between these two teams this season. In Week 6, the Vikings won the first one 19-13 .

While the Bears haven’t done very well in 2023, one of their three victories was a 16-13 win against the Carolina Panthers two weeks ago. But in Week 11, they dropped a 31-26 decision to the Detroit Lions .

After opening the season 4-1, Minnesota won five straight games — the most recent being a 27-19 victory over the New Orleans Saints — but a week ago, it had a 21-20 road loss to the Denver Broncos .

According to DraftKings Sportbook , the Vikings are favored by three points.
