The week started on Sept. 16 with men's coffee hour along craft time after lunch, where the residents made bandana pumpkins with cinnamon sticks and afterwards Do It Yourself (DIY) decorations were put up in the dining room, an afternoon of bingo along with a dice game of 7/11 after supper and a performance from the Congerville AC Singers. On Sept. 17, after breakfast, there was the morning worship service, plus music after lunch with Dulcimers and a guitar, the resident council meeting and story time after supper. Wednesday began with morning reflections, where residents discussed fall house decorations, a trip to Rader Family Farms on the west side of Normal, where some of the residents purchased apple cider slushies and looked around the pumpkin farm. The others who stayed behind played bingo prior to supper. Thursday began with monthly snack packing, the monthly birthday party that included members of the high school PACE class. There was a sensory discussion group where residents were able to smell, taste and guess the various fruit samples. On Friday, there was music on the baby grand piano, while preparations began for harvest week. After supper, residents flocked to the courtyard to enjoy ice cream bars and fellowship.
