Apple releases trailer for New England Patriots docuseries
Apple is set to release a new docuseries about the New England Patriots dynasty and in preparation for that has released a new trailer for the series.
The docuseries is set to specifically deal with the end of the Patriots dynasty, which saw star quarterback Tom Brady choose to leave the franchise. Both Brady and team owner Robert Kraft appeared for interviews in the initial trailer.
The series is based on Jeff Benedict’s book The Dynasty and will be called The Dynasty: New England Patriots. You can watch the trailer, :
The New England Patriots dynasty began in 2001 when New England won its first Super Bowl in franchise history. That was head coach Bill Belichick‘s second season with the team and saw Tom Brady take over as the starting quarterback for Drew Bledsoe after he was injured.
It was the start of a run of success that may never be replicated again in history. The Patriots won six Super Bowls, going to nine, while Brady and Belichick were together. That was over a period of 19 years. However, by the end, there were cracks in the relationship between the two monumental figures.
Eventually, Tom Brady left for Tampa Bay, won a seventh Super Bowl, and has since retired. The Patriots, meanwhile, under Belichick have regressed. In turn, many have argued that this is proof that the dynasty was thanks to the quarterback, not the coach.
The docuseries is produced by Imagine Documentaries and directed by Matthew Hamachek. He has experience in sports documentaries, having previously covered Tiger Woods. It will be a 10-part series.
According to Apple, the series will include “thousands of hours of never-before-seen video footage and audio files from the Patriots organization’s archive. In addition to interviews with past and present Patriots players, coaches and executives, the unparalleled access includes Kraft, Belichick, Brady, and confessionals from league officials and the archrivals of this dominant sports dynasty.”
The Dynasty: New England Patriots premiers February 16th on Apple TV+.
Tom Brady to be inducted into New England Patriots Hall of FameThere is no player in Patriots history more important than Tom Brady. As such, the franchise is going to honor him in every way possible. That includes inducting him into the franchise Hall of Fame during the summer of 2024.
That decision was announced in September, at the start of the NFL season when Tom Brady returned to be the “Keeper of the Light” at Gillette Stadium. Brady was also honored by the Patriots at halftime of the team’s home opener.
Typically, there is a four-year waiting period to enter the Patriots Hall of Fame. However, Robert Kraft waived that for Tom Brady.
