ARDOT responding to I-30 crash near Benton involving tractor-trailer

SALINE COUNTY, Ark. – Crews with the Arkansas Department of Transportation are working to clear a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 30 in Saline County.

The crash was first reported just before 12:15 p.m. near Mile Marker 114, in an area of long-time construction near Benton.

Initial reports showed all lanes of eastbound I-30 were blocked by the crash, though by 1:15 p.m. it was down to just the right lane being affected.

There has been a report of injuries with this crash, though the number of people injured or the extent of the injuries has not been reported.

ARDOT recommends putting company working on Saline Co. I-30 project into default of contract

ARDOT reports that there is a flammable load concern with this crash.
