Are Bears fans are turning on Ryan Poles?
N.Kim56 min ago
Seems like it wasn't that long ago that the "King Poles does it again" memes were all over social media. The Chicago Bears were primed for a big year three of the Ryan Poles era with rookie connection Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze being added to an already impressive collection of offensive weapons set to be coached by the experienced Shane Waldron. Even though the decision to roll with head coach Matt Eberflus soured some, the talent Poles acquired on the field, and the changes to the coaching staff, had many of us expecting improvement. That has not come to fruition. Bears fans are done with Eberflus and his continued late game mismanagement as only 4% of our Reacts voters last week feel he's the right man to lead the Bears. And now general manager Ryan Poles is being questioned by our fanbase. Only 31% feel that Poles is the right guy to lead this franchise and nearly half are in wait and see mode. Obvioulsy a win on Sunday will help ease some of our frustration, but after the New England Patriots game, the Bears run the full NFC North gauntlet of games, with the 49ers and Seahawks mixed in which is the toughest closing schedule in the NFL. That likely is playing into our fans losing confidence in the franchise's direction, too. But before worrying about the Packers in two weeks, first things first is the Pats — Chicago is a 6.5 point favorite according to FanDuel Sportsbook — and then we'll revisit the confidence poll next week.
