Ariana Grande Puzzled After Fan Hands Her Their Dog—'What Do I Do?'
Ariana Grande was left looking baffled after a fan suddenly gave her their dog as she plugged her new movie Wicked .
The 7 Rings singer was at a photo call in Sydney following the Australian premiere of the film, and looked taken aback when someone passed her their pet pooch. Grande, who was clad in a glamorous pale pink top and full skirt for the event, had been making her way along a line of fans when it happened.
A clip on social media shows her leaning in to chat to someone before they suddenly thrust their dog - which was in a t-shirt and wearing a pale purple leash - into her arms. Looking confused, the star clutched the canine to her, saying: "Goodness you're handing me your dog."
Glancing around her, she asked: "What do I do? Are you sure?" seemingly wondering if the person was trying to give her their dog for good. She asked his name, but struggled the hear the answer over the noise from the crowd, calling him Jason before discovering he was called Jacob. "I can't hear," she explained.
Grande – who plays Glinda the Good Witch of the North in the movie – then seemed to wobble on her heels, complaining about flies being "everywhere" as she passed Jacob back. "Please enjoy your dog," she said to the person who had handed the fluffy pet to her. "Thanks for handing me your dog!"
The clip had fans "screaming," with several posting about it on X. "" said one, as another giggled: "She is so confused lol."
"I'm literally crying!" said someone else. "Who did this to our poor Ariana?!" Another commented: "Wait, what?! Who gave Ariana their dog?!"
Others said it was "hilarious" and one fan remarked: "I'm so dead. At first I was like, not in the designer dress but Ari don't give a damn, she loves animals. This is just too funny to me."
"This is like people giving the pope their baby..." quipped somebody else.
"That dog don't know how lucky it is to be held by Ariana Grande," remarked one fan. Another joked: "Hope to be reborn as that dog, he didn't even realize that Ariana Grande herself carried him."
Grande, 31, is known to be an animal lover and has several rescued and adopted dogs of her own, including Toulouse, Coco and Strauss.
