Arizona's Motiejus Krivas cleared to play for Arizona Wildcats vs Canisius
Arizona center Motiejus Krivas has been cleared to play in the Wildcats' season opener Monday against Canisius after sitting out most of the preseason with an ankle/foot injury.
Meanwhile, freshman center Emmanuel Stephen is wearing street clothes, indicating a redshirt decision may have already been made. Stephen was not projected to make UA's playing rotation this season and, under current NCAA rules, he cannot play in any regular-season games if he wants to qualify for a non-injury redshirt.
Krivas has been sidelined since September after experiencing discomfort in early preseason practices. After playing his freshman season for the Wildcats last season, Krivas played for Lithuania team in the FIBA U20 EuroBasket event last July before traveling back to Tucson.
