ARKANSAS (KSLA) - On Tuesday, Nov. 5, Arkansas voters went to the polls to determine the results of two ballot issues. Votes toward the third issue did not count as a result of a court ruling.

BALLOT ISSUE 1: Issue 1 would amend the Arkansas Constitution to allow the scholarships from the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery program to be used at vocational-technical schools and technical institutes. With 82.43% of the vote counted, the measure appeared headed for approval with 89.67% of the votes cast.

BALLOT ISSUE 2 Arkansas voters approved a constitutional amendment in 2018 that permitted casino gaming in four counties — Crittenden, Garland, Jefferson and Pope. Issue 2 would amend the state constitution to repeal the Pope County license. The amendment would also require that all future casinos in Arkansas be approved by local countywide votes before a license is issued. With 82.43% of the votes counted, the tally was 55.68% for approval of the issue.

BALLOT ISSUE 3 Originally, Issue 3 was regarding Medical Marijuana, but due to the way the title was presented the Supreme Court has nullified the amendment on the ballot. They stated that the title was misleading. Even though the issue is on the ballot, votes on this amendment are nullified and invalid.
