Arkasas hunter cited after LDWF learns he entered illegally hunted buck into contest

SHREVEPORT, La. ( KTAL/KMSS ) – The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) arrested an Arkansas man for alleged contest fraud in north Louisiana.

According to LDWF, 27-year-old Andrew Riels of Crossett, Arkansas, was arrested on November 1 for hunting contest fraud and violating interstate commerce regulations.

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) Enforcement Division provided LDWF with information about Riels harvesting a buck in Arkansas and entering it into a big buck contest in Louisiana.
