ARLINGTON, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Arlington County announced that the prices to park along the Rosslyn-Ballston and Richmond Highway Corridors will be adjusted starting on Sept. 23.

The county said the prices will be changed for some of the highest and lowest-demand parking spaces in areas of the Pilot Project area.

This new adjustment marks the third price change related to the project. Officials said 28% of spaces will not see any price changes in this round.

The new round of changes includes:

  • Increases at approximately 51% of metered parking spaces in the project area

  • Decreases at approximately 11% of spaces

  • A combination of ncreases and decreases at 10% of spaces based on time of day and streamlining.

  • The prices are based on parking occupancy data gathered at over 4,000 parking spaces between June 24 and Sept. 1, 2024.

Arlington's Performance Parking Pilot Project aims to improve the experience for drivers by making metered parking space available, often, reducing the negative impact when searching for metered parking and sharing useful information about parking options.

When using meter parking, prices can vary within neighborhoods and are noted at the meter and on parking apps.
