Arrest made in connection to Saturday morning shooting in Kendallville

KENDALLVILLE, Ind. (WPTA) - The Kendallville Police Department shares that an arrest has been made in connection to a shooting that happened Saturday morning in Kendallvile.

According to a news release, the Kendallville Police Department, Noble County Sheriff's Department, and Avilla Police Department responded to a shots fired call in the 1400 block of South Main Street around 12:45 a.m.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found a woman lying in a parking lot with apparent injuries. The woman was airlifted to a regional hospital in critical condition.

They say Kendallville police detectives arrived on the scene to investigate the incident and took a man into custody.

The man has since been booked into the Noble County Jail.

The Kendallville Fire Department, Noble County EMS, and Noble County Prosecutor's Office assisted the Kendallville Police Department, Noble County Sheriff's Department, and Avilla Police Department at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
