Arrest warrant issued for Baltimore Ravens fan after attack on Commanders fans caught on video

Police in Baltimore are searching for a Baltimore Ravens fan who attacked Washington Commanders fans after Sunday's game. Per multiple reports , a warrant has been issued for John Callis, who is facing first-degree aggravated assault and three counts of second-degree assault. A video that was posted online showed the Ravens fan allegedly approaching two 23-year-old Commanders fans and swinging at them.

One Commanders fan was sent to the ground after being hit. The other was pushed into the wall by Callis who then flexed for the camera while wearing a Lamar Jackson jersey. Once the video went viral, police launched an investigation.

The attack comes after the Ravens defeated the Commanders 30-23 to improve their record to 4-2. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson threw for 323 yards and one touchdown with 40 rushing yards, and running back Derrick Henry rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries.

The Raves are on a hot streak as they have won their last four games. After suffering tough losses to the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders, Baltimore took down the Dallas Cowboys, Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals and Commanders. And in all four of their wins, the Ravens have scored at least 28 points.

Can the Baltimore Ravens give the fans another title?

Before the 2024 season kicked off, Jackson talked about dismissing critics who don't beleive he can get the job done in the playoffs. "I mean, I'm motivating myself because I know what I want to do at the end of the day," he said to Adam Schein on Mag Dog Sports Radio in August ( per NFL.com ). "Those guys have their time. I really don't care what the criticism is, what the critics say because at the end of the day, I just came off a season-ending injury the year before and we made it all the way to the AFC [Championship Game] in a new system. So, it's nothing to be down on myself, my teammates or anything like that because we made it far and further than the years we've been. We haven't been to the AFC [Championship Game] in a long time...

"We've just got to keep going. God's will, we'll be there because that's our goal. We criticize ourselves more than anyone else. So, what people say on the outside, that's just their take. They can believe in what they want to believe, but we know what we want, we know what we're striving for. So, that's all I can say about it."
