Arthur Smith loves what he’s seeing from QB Justin Fields

The Pittsburgh Steelers are 2-0 after two road wins to begin their season. And while the point total doesn't pain the offense in a beautiful light, quarterback Justin Fields has played well.

Fields is eighth in the NFL in completion percentage over expected (CPOE) and is top 15 in EPA+CPOE composite. Fields has also shown the ability to launch the ball downfield consistently to George Pickens for big plays. All of this is why offensive coordinator Arthur Smith is enjoying what his quarterback is putting on display.

"What's been very encouraging to me is his pocket presence," Smith said. "He's stood in there when the pocket gets dirty. He's made some big throws down the field... I'm very encouraged."
