Resident Salvador Gomez says he's embarrassed by his city's leaders, and Arvin has been a boat adrift since mayor Olivia Trujillo passed away.

Martha Perez de Moreno says the city has not improved since she moved in the 70s.

"You cannot trust them," said Jeanette Schumacher.

Reporter Cecilia Trevino: Why do you feel that?

"Because I feel that," continued Schumacher, "For them, it's just a title because they come from outside, so they don't really feel what the town needs."

For now, there is an uncertain future for the Arvin City Council, until the next meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 24.
