SoftBank Corp is also planning to use Grace Blackwell chips for a further supercomputer, said Nvidia, which held an AI event in Tokyo on Wednesday featuring SoftBank Group CEO Son and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. Millions of customers of Hot Topic have been informed that their personal data was compromised during an October data breach at the American retailer. Have I Been Pwned (HIBP), the breach notification service, said this week that it alerted 57 million Hot Topic customers that their data had been compromised. The stolen data includes email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, purchases, genders, and dates of birth. WASHINGTON (Reuters) -China-linked hackers have intercepted surveillance data intended for American law enforcement agencies after breaking in to an unspecified number of telecom companies, U.S. authorities said on Wednesday. The hackers compromised the networks of "multiple telecommunications companies" and stole U.S. customer call records and communications from "a limited number of individuals who are primarily involved in government or political activity," according to a joint statement released by the FBI and the U.S. cyber watchdog agency CISA. The two agencies said the hackers also copied "certain information that was subject to U.S. law enforcement requests pursuant to court orders." Within minutes of President-elect Donald Trump's announcement of Fox News host and Army veteran Pete Hegseth as his selection for Secretary of Defense, current and former senior military commanders began messaging and calling me with their reactions. "Ridiculous," said one. "An effing (euphemism inserted) nightmare," said another. To be clear, these were not partisans, but senior commanders who have served under both Presidents Trump and Joe Biden. Former White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said President-elect Trump's transition into the White House "is not going to look anything like it did in 2017." "The level of sophistication on the issues is so far beyond what it was in 2017," Mulvaney told "The Hill" host Blake Burman on NewsNation on Monday. "This... Fernando Valenzuela's cause of death has been determined after the Dodgers legend died last month at 63. According to his death certificate, the broadcaster and former pitcher died due to decompensated alcoholic cirrhosis and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis cirrhosis. The document obtained by TMZ also notes that another probable contributor to Valenzuela's death was that he suffered from Creutzfeldt-Jakob ... Members of President-elect Donald Trump's transition team are drawing up a list of military officers to be fired, potentially to include the Joint Chiefs of Staff, two sources said, in what would be an unprecedented shakeup at the Pentagon. The planning for the firings is at an early stage after Trump's Nov. 5 election victory and could change as Trump's administration takes shape, said the sources, who are familiar with the Trump transition and requested anonymity to speak candidly about the plans. One of the sources questioned the feasibility of a mass firing at the Pentagon. Wanda Sykes said that even though she "got her hopes up," about Kamala Harris potentially winning the election, she wasn't surprised when Donald Trump won—and she revealed why on Tuesday's Jimmy Kimmel Live. "I mean it's so many reasons why you can say it happened," Sykes said on the show, "But I think you know, a lot of us aren't, like, totally shocked" because "sometimes America is just gonna America." Even though she wasn't floored by the results, Sykes admitted she's not feeling great about WASHINGTON (Reuters) -President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday named incendiary Republican U.S. Representative Matt Gaetz to be his nominee for attorney general, selecting an ally who has faced Justice Department scrutiny to run the agency. "Matt will end Weaponized Government, protect our Borders, dismantle Criminal Organizations and restore Americans' badly-shattered Faith and Confidence in the Justice Department," Trump said in a statement announcing the selection, which would be subject to confirmation by the Republican-majority Senate. The choice of a 42-year-old congressman who has never worked in the Justice Department or as a prosecutor at any level of government was the latest in a wave of Trump nominations of candidates with scant experience. Former Vice President Pence's adviser Marc Short affirmed President-elect Trump's decision to appoint Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense. "Pete served 20 years, he was awarded the Bronze Star twice in Iraq and Afghanistan. He's somebody that I got to know when he was running Concerned Veterans for America," Short said during a Wednesday MSNBC... Lock up your dogs 'cause Kristi Noem is back. Donald Trump confirmed on Tuesday that the South Dakota governor will serve as Homeland Security secretary in his upcoming administration. "Kristi has been very strong on Border Security," Trump wrote in a statement. "I have known Kristi for years, and have worked with her on a wide variety of projects—she will be a great part of our mission to Make America Safe Again." President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump met in the Oval Office for nearly two hours on Wednesday, resuming a hallmark of America's peaceful transfer of power that Trump himself flouted in 2020. President Biden spoke first, calling for a "smooth transition" and telling Trump he would do "everything we can to make sure you're accommodated." "Politics is tough, and it's, in many cases, not a very nice world but it is a nice world today," Trump said. This might be the end of an era in Dallas. With Mike McCarthy and his coaching staff on lame-duck status, a 3-6 record that is on the verge of turning into 3-8 means the Cowboys are likely going to miss the playoffs. And if that's the President-elect Donald Trump's return to the White House already carried potentially sweeping changes for the Federal Reserve. But now a growing question is not how the Fed will operate under Trump but if it'll continue to operate at all. Top figures in the MAGA world spent Wednesday complaining that their pick for Senate Majority Leader, Florida Sen. Rick Scott, didn't clear the first round of voting. Those upset took to social media and their podcasts to whine and even threaten to oust Sen. John Thune (R-SD)—who was voted into Senate leadership via secret ballot—if he doesn't fall in line with all of Donald Trump's requests. "If he does not support President Trump in these next 30 to 45 days to fill President Trump's cabinet, w We covered before how a father and high-profile CEO along with his teenage daughter were killed in a freak bulldozer accident in a Utah canyon during the summer.
