Aslesen double-double leads DWU men to win over DSU
MITCHELL, S.D. (KELO) — Samuel Aslesen recorded a double-double and DSU shot just 30% as Dakota Wesleyan tallied a 76-48 win at the Corn Palace on Wednesday night.
The game started out even as DSU jumped out to the early 5-4 lead, but then came a 15-3 run by the Tigers to jump out to a 19-8 lead, just eight minutes in.
The game seemed to stall at 21-10 for a bit, but then the Tigers found a roll again. They outscored the Trojans 20-11 to close the half a build a 41-21 halftime lead.
The second half was more even, but Dakota Wesleyan still outscored Dakota State by eight point, to tally the 76-48 win.
Three players scored in double figures for the Tigers. Aslesen led all scorers with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Randy Rosenquist scored 15, while Tampa Scott added 10.
