PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) Atlantis Games & Comics are seeking to provide help for communities affected by Hurricane Helene.

The comic book store is holding fundraising raffles with the first of the three being available now, containing $3,300 worth of items.

Despite being robbed of over $17,000 in trading cards back in June, store owner Steve Matousek insisted he wanted to give back to victims of Helene.

"If we were like a much younger store, it would've definitely probably crippled us, but we were lucky," said Matousek. "We had good insurance. It wasn't something that stopped day-to-day operations. We always like multiple times a year — we always try to do something with local charities."
