Atlas Chiropractic presents Providence Ministries with check after Patient Appreciation Event
HOLYOKE, Mass (WWLP) – A local business based in Holyoke presented a check to Providence Ministries and Kate's Kitchen.
The money was raised through Atlas Chiropractic's 12th annual Patients Appreciation Event. The event is all about giving back to the community.
In the month of October, Atlas Chiropractic raised $9,539.40. A $20 donation would provide patients with an adjustment and a goody bag, but not all patients donated just $20, some donated as much as $600, showing their support for the community in the season of giving back.
'"Community partnership is so important to us, funding is not always guaranteed and we have so many programs that give back to the community, so when an organization like Atlas decides to partner with us and raise funds for those in need, it means everything to us," said Jennie Adamczyk, executive director of Providence Ministries.
Kate's Kitchen is open 365 days a year and in September of this year, they helped to feed over 6,000 people in the area, while also giving takeaway meals to many of the unhoused community members.
Kate's Kitchen is not only about feeding community members but also with dignity and respect.
