Ayden woman hosts annual walk to raise money for cancer research

AYDEN, N.C. (WNCT) — An Ayden woman is hosting her annual Motorcycle and Cancer Walk this Saturday. This is something Tammie Hunter has done every year since 2016.
"Ayden, because it enhances the community. It lets the community know that we are there, we are there to help. And they can get help. They can receive help," Hunter said.
The walk is to raise money to send to the National Cancer Society. It starts at 9 a.m. at the Zion Chapel FWB Church in Ayden. You can register on-site that day starting at 8 a.m.
The motorcycle ride starts at 11 a.m. and there will be vendors to give information on different types of cancer.
