Bakersfield Police investigate death of male stabbing victim

A man is dead after arriving at the hospital with stab wounds, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
The stabbing victim arrived at Memorial Hospital on September 21, 2024, just after 2:00 a.m. for treatment.
Police said due to the severity of his injures, he was transferred to Kern Medical in critical condition.
Officers were notified that the man died around 8:00 a.m.
Detectives with BPD Robbery and Homicide detail are investigating the death.
There is currently no suspect information.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Kern County Coroner's Office.
