Ball with The Beast podcast
Several out of conference games factor this week around the SEC going into Week 13 in the Ball with The Beast podcast presented by Wyatt Insurance . Tennessee is home for their final game with the Vanderbilt Commodores coming to town.
Around the SEC, Texas A&M heads to Baton Rouge to battle LSU, who is looking for one big offensive game from Jayden Daniels to solidify his Heisman candidacy.
“I think I may be getting on the Jayden Daniels for Heisman train here,” Paul Fortenberry said. “Responsible for eight touchdowns last week I know it was against a cupcake but he looked unbelievable. A&M is without a head coach and without a direction right now. LSU still has a lot to play for right now.”
Florida State will be on the road at rival Florida without their quarterback as Jordan Travis will miss with a broken leg.
“This is a really intriguing matchup because you don’t know what either team is going to be offensively,” Brent Hubbs said. “The backup for Florida was pretty good last week. Florida should have won that game but didn’t play defense at the end. You don’t know about Florida State because they didn’t play anybody. They had the shock of losing Jordan Travis and it took them a minute to figure it out. Now it gets real.”
The team the Seminoles will see next week in the ACC championship, Louisville will host Kentucky on Saturday.
“It’s been nearly 1500 days since Louisville beat Kentucky on the football field,” Hubbs said. “Brohm is such a Louisville guy and his quotes this week were losing is not an option here. He put all the pressure on his team. You have to go take care of business and I think they will.”
Beast PredictionPaul’s final pick of the regular season isn’t much of surprise as Tennessee gets a win on senior day.
“There is no way you can take Vanderbilt in this game,” Fortenberry said. “They are so bad.”
