Barcelona are reportedly keen on signing Mohamed Salah once his contract with Liverpool expires in the summer. Salah scored the winner in a comeback win over Brighton on Saturday and posted on X the following afternoon with a note that read: 'No matter what happens, I will never forget what scoring at Anfield feels like.' Some fans took that as a hint that he could be leaving this summer, with the 32-year-old's contract set to run out at the end of the current season as it stands. It is the second time he has publicly discussed his future after previously saying this was his 'last season at the club'. With that in mind, reports in Spain now claim that Barcelona could enter the race to sign the Egyptian having previously tried to sign him in 2022. According to Sport , the Egyptian winger would be open to change his scene and supposedly likes the Barcelona project. The outlet claim that Barcelona's top priority is Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams however Salah has been added to the list, should they fail to sign the Spaniard. Two years ago, when Barcelona were rebuilding under Xavi, the former Barcelona manager suggested Liverpool star Salah as a potential signing. Though they were not able to land the Egpytian at the time, he's remained a potential target throughout Barcelona's development in recent years. While it is fair to say Salah's future is up in the air, there have been no suggestions that he is definitely departing. Speaking recently, Arne Slot said: 'You interpret (the post) in a way maybe other people don't. I don't look at Instagram posts from my players, I only talk to them which is the advantage I have. 'Mo is in a very good place at the moment, as long as he has been at Liverpool he has been in a good place. I am hoping he will post one after tomorrow and Saturday again. It is important how he plays and what he says in conversations and not how you guys interpret his posts. Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Salah has scored a hugely impressive 220 goals in 364 appearances. He has won the Premier League, the Champions League, the FA Cup and two League Cups. Liverpool also have concerns over the futures of some of their other stars, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk also into the final year of their current contracts.
