While shoppers are on the lookout for Black Friday deals, scammers are on the lookout for victims.

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) and has come up with a list of the 12 Scams of Christmas.

Some of the more popular scams on Black Friday are online purchase scams. In some cases, people may pay for gifts that never arrive. Some scammers will even create websites that look like real companies in order to trick shoppers.

Kelsey Coleman with the BBB recommends shoppers get educated on scams ahead of time.

She recommends looking at scams being reported to the BBB’s scam tracker. And if you’ve been a victim, you can share your knowledge there as well.
