BBNFL Week 12: Josh Allen now second all-time in sacks in Jaguars history

Josh Allen got about as close to a sack hat trick as one could get on Sunday with 2.5, but his half-sack late in the game essentially won the game for the Jacksonville Jaguars. CJ Stroud was leading the Texans down the field in the final two minutes with his team down by three. Josh Allen joined forces with Travon Walker to bring Stroud down and turn what would have been a very makable field goal attempt into a 58-yard prayer. The would-be tying field goal doinked off the crossbar, giving the Jags the win.

Josh Allen is now tied for 4th in the NFL with 12 sacks this season and moved into 2nd all-time in sack leaders in Jacksonville history. He has been an absolute beast in this, his contract year.

After the game, Allen said , “There was a lot of rush opportunities. I didn’t win a lot of them, but I won the ones that counted.”

Five former ‘Cats make Thanksgiving Day debut

Five former Kentucky players made their Thanksgiving game debut on Thursday while you were gorging yourself on turkey. Josh Paschal earned his first start of the year and graded out as the best defensive player on the Lions at 78.3. Quinton Bohanna , fresh off the practice squad last week, also got the start and recorded a tackle for Detroit.

Despite Paschal’s solid play, the Green Bay Packers upset the Detroit Lions, in part due to a strong performance from Carrington Valentine . The former ‘Cat played nearly every snap for the Packers and finished with four tackles, an assist, and a solid PFF grade of 70.

In the late afternoon game, Chris Rodriguez Jamin Davis took the field for the Washington Commanders. The artists formerly known as the Football Team got trounced by the red-hot Cowboys, but the blowout win gave room for C-Rod to get some late-game carries. He ran the ball four times and racked up 21 yards in garbage time.

That brings Rodriguez’s season total up to 24 carries for 125 yards. His 5.2 yards per rush lead all Commanders running backs. He also boasts an impressive 3.83 yards after contact per attempt which is 6th best in the league amongst running backs with at least 20 carries. They have to find a way to get him more touches.

Jamin Davis did not grade out very well according to PFF, but he still managed four tackles on the day.

Will Levis comes away with second career NFL win

It wasn’t flashy, but Will Levis earned his second-career win as a starting quarterback in the NFL on Sunday, as the Tennessee Titans took down the Carolina Panthers 17-10. Levis completed 18 of his 28 pass attempts for 185 yards. One of those completions was a wild one, as he barely got the ball off before getting hit, but still had enough strength to get it out to a wide-open receiver down the sideline.

It had to feel good to beat Bryce Young, who took the No. 1 overall position on the dashboard that at one point was rumored to belong to him.

After the game, Levis gave his usual press conference, but like many people often do, stumbled over a word. Later that evening on Twitter , he apologized to all his former English teachers for the gaffe. I’m sure the message matriculated to all of them and the apology was capitulated.
