Bears top PFF performers from win over Rams

R.Campbell44 min ago
Chicago Bears football is back, and with it comes the return of PFF grades.

Pro Football Focus has been an industry leader in football analytics since 2006, and with the new season coming into play, we figured it would be a good idea to highlight some of the top performers on both sides of the ball in each Bears game going forward.

After dropping two in a row, the Bears were able to bounce back in a major way on Sunday, defeating the L.A. Rams 24-18 at Soldier Field to improve to 2-2. Neither side of the ball was particularly better than the other, but both Chicago's offense and defense showed enough flashes to take advantage of a depleted Rams roster. Sitting at .500 after the first quarter of the NFL season, a win bodes well for the rest of their season going forward.

Here are the top 5 performers from all three phases in the Bears' victory on Sunday.

RB D'Andre Swift (72.1) LT Braxton Jones (70.0) RB Roschon Johnson (68.8) WR DJ Moore (67.5) RG Matt Pryor (63.4)
For reference, Caleb Williams finished with a grade of just 50.2 this week. Keenan Allen graded sixth at 60.4 in his return back from injury.

LE Montez Sweat (76.1) RE Darrell Taylor (70.3) FS Kevin Byard (68.6) ROLB Jack Sanborn (67.8) DLT Gervon Dexter (66.7)
Special teams
ROLB Jack Sanborn (68.2) LS Scott Daly (64.5) CB Jaylon Jones (62.3) LB Noah Sewell (61.0) RG Matt Pryor (61.0)
Punter Tory Taylor taking four reps on field goals and extra points likely swayed his grade and prevented his individual grade (60.5) from being super high. Either way, his punting grade was above-average at 69.1.
