Bears-Colts inactives: Nate Davis to suit up

H.Wilson22 min ago

INDIANAPOLIS — Bears guard Nate Davis is active for Sunday's game against the Colts, but his workload will be worth monitoring.

On Wednesday, Bears coach Matt Eberflus said he wouldn't make any changes to the starting offensive line. Hours later, Davis was hampered in practice by a groin injury that made him a limited participant for the next three days.

Davis could split time Sunday with Matt Pryor, the only seasoned lineman left on the Bears bench. Pryor has 24 career starts in 77 games with the Eagles, Colts and 49ers. He's in his first season with the Bears.

The Bears ruled out receiver Keenan Allen (heel), fullback Khari Blasingame (hand/knee) and defensive tackle Zacch Pickens (groin) on Friday. They put running back Travis Homer on injured reserve Saturday with a finger injury.

They made running back/kick returner Velus Jones, defensive end Dominique Robinson and linebacker Noah Sewell healthy scratches.
