Ben Ray Fagerstone
Ben Ray Fagerstone, 64, went to his eternal resting place July 1st, 2024 at Central Wyoming Hospice after a brave fight with cancer.
Ben was born August 11,1959 in Arvada, CO to Winston and Delma (Payte) Fagerstone as the third of four sons. Although his parents relocated the family to North and South Carolina for a short time, Ben lived in the Denver metro area most of his early years until moving to Casper, WY in the early 90's to marry Karen Rubis.
Ben was a proud girl dad to two daughters, Amanda and Emily, who brought his life meaning and joy. He loved introducing his girls to classic TV shows like The Munsters and The Wonder Years. In the summers, you could find him at the pool with the family or sitting on the porch enjoying a beautiful Wyoming evening.
Ben worked several jobs over the course of his life; from a self- employed handyman to a Resident Manager at the Casper Re Entry Center to a courier for True Companies, where he retired in May of 2023. Ben never found a career, but often dreamt of owning his own business "Kingdom Builders." While that dream was not fulfilled in the literal sense, it could be said that building the kingdom was God's call in his life.
Those who knew Ben understood the importance of his faith and walk with God. It was his life mission to be a man of integrity and to share the salvation and goodness of our savior with others. Ben and his family led Sunday church services for the residents of Meadow Wind Assisted Living, a mission of faith that gave him great purpose. He was also an involved supporter of the Soldiers of the Light street ministry in North Casper.
Ben is survived in death by his wife, Karen; daughters: Amanda (Adrian) Montes and Emily Fagerstone; his mother, Delma; brother, Carl (Stacie); grandchildren: Audrey and Leo, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ben is preceded in death by his father, Winston and older brothers: Steve and Gary.
A memorial service is to be held on July 8th at Newcomer Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with a reception at the VFW to follow.
