BENTON, La. (KSLA) - After 12 seasons at Benton High School, head football coach and athletic director, Reynolds Moore, is stepping down. "Serving as the head football coach at Benton High School has been one of the greatest privileges of my life," Moore said. "I look back on my time here in that role with deep satisfaction, immense gratitude, and a tremendous amount of pride at what we have been able to accomplish. I would like to thank all three principals who allowed me to serve our students, as well as the numerous assistant coaches who are truly the backbone of our success." Coach Moore says he'll now serve the community in a different way. He has been serving in student ministry at a local church and says he plans to step away from coaching so he can spend more time investing in pastoral ministry at Covenant Church. "Coach Moore has made a lasting impact on the lives of countless student athletes over the years," Benton High Principal Whitney Clark said. "Our school community will be forever grateful for the passion, commitment and dedication shown by Coach Moore and his family over the last 12 years." The school is now accepting applications for the head coaching job. Those interested in applying can do so be emailing the principal at .
