Best Bets: Black Friday & Full Sunday Slate

Do people still go out on Black Friday and hit up stores for the deals? I can’t say that’s ever been something that I do so I’m fully embracing Amazon adding a Black Friday game to the NFL calendar. This match looked as tasty as that piece of pie you had at midnight last night when the schedule released, but with the Aaron Rodgers injury and the quarterback issues in New Jersey, it’s something Amazon probably regrets about as much as that same midnight slice of pie.

The Miami Dolphins are currently leading the AFC East at 7-3, a division many pegged as the toughest in the league heading into the year. With the aforementioned Rodgers injury (and the face plant in New England), the New York Jets have not held up their end of the bargain and enter this one at 4-6.

Divisional games can always be a little tricky and the Dolphins are on the road after a holiday but I just can’t make the case for the Jets. They’ve scored 13, 6, 12, and 6 in their last four games after their bye week. They’re simply a terrible offense and have banished Zach Wilson to emergency third string. The Jets defense is good enough to make me hit the under button but I don’t think the Dolphins have any trouble with the spread here.

The implied final score, calculated by the spread and total, is 25.5-15.5. I think it’s much more likely something like 30-3.

Picks: Dolphins -10, Under 41.5
