Beverly "Bev" Saroodis Clark, 93, of Green Street, Weedsport, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 17, 2024, in the Commons on St. Anthony. Born May 8, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Vassos and IdaMay Hamilton Saroodis. She was a lifelong resident of Weedsport. Bev retired as secretary for the Weedsport School District after almost 30 years of faithful employment. After her retirement, she continued her service to the school district and her connection to the students by keeping score for varsity basketball games for many years. She was a 77-year member of the First Presbyterian Church of Weedsport. Continually active in the Weedsport community, Bev was a Past Grand Officer and 75-year member of the Eastern Star, as well as 73-year member of the Weedsport Fire Dept. Auxiliary. In addition, she was a former member and past secretary of the Weedsport Winter Wanderers Snowmobile Club, and was on the Board of Trustees of the Weedsport Free Library and also the Old Brutus Historical Society. Bev will be remembered as a staple of her community and the Matriarch of Green Street. Her always present smile will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Bev married John "Jack" Clark Jr. on July 16, 1955, and together they raised a wonderful family. She is survived by her beloved children and grandchildren, John Clark and his wife, Janet, with their children, Kaitlyn Petrocci (Bruce), Jordan (Christina) Petrocci and Samantha Wezowicz; Chele Conley and her husband, Pat, with their children, Morgan Macko (Dan), Daniel Conley (Kait), Josh Reynolds (Jenna) and their children, Brayden and Carter; Chere Ware and her husband, Denny, and their children, Jeannine Powers (George), their children, Randy (Rob) Bell and Lucas Powers; and Denise Ware and her son, Marcus Lockhart; one brother, William "Bill" Saroodis of Weedsport; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Jack, Bev is predeceased by one sister, Marion Weeks.

Friends are invited to join the family for Bev's funeral service, to be offered at 1 p.m., Monday, September 23, 2024, in the First Presbyterian Church, Weedsport. Burial will follow in Weedsport Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be conducted prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the church.
