Biggby Coffee supporting local hockey with media day

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) -Youth hockey season is starting in Mid-Michigan.

Biggby Coffee Ice Cube hosted Hockey Media Day Wednesday morning in East Lansing.

Biggby and Black Bear Sports Group partnered for a ten-year commitment to youth hockey. They also acquired two other rinks, one in Ann Arbor and one in Brighton.

The coffee company CEO says it's important to give back.

"At Biggby, we're deep into supporting kids, having healthy experiences in the world. And so when you go out and spend money at Biggby, you know you're supporting this concept of youth athletics. And youth athletics in a healthy way is really what we're trying to get to," said CEO Mike McFall.

The East Lansing location offers everything from lessons to leagues, as well as open skating.
