Most obituaries published in the Reading Eagle are submitted through funeral homes and cremation services, but we will accept submissions from families. Obituaries can be emailed to .

In addition to the text of the obituary, any photographs that you wish to include can be attached to this email. Please put the text of the obituary in a Word document, a Google document or in the body of the email. The Reading Eagle also requires a way to verify the death, so please include either the phone number of the funeral home or cremation service that is in charge of the deceased's care or a photo of his/her death certificate. We also request that your full name, phone number and address are all included in this email.

All payments by families must be made with a credit card. We will send a proof of the completed obituary before we require payment. The obituary cannot run, however, until we receive payment in full.

Obituaries can be submitted for any future date, but they must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. the day prior to its running for it to be published.

McKenna Brossman of Auburn is a daughter of Jill Stine and Travis Brossman. McKenna attends Blue Mountain High School as well as the Schuylkill Technology Center and is in the criminal justice program. McKenna is involved in numerous activities including Art Club, National English Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Skills USA, and is a part of the Crime Scene Team in her shop at Schuylkill Technology Center South Campus. She plans to attend a four-year college and major in criminal justice.

Ruby Henninger, of Orwigsburg is a daughter of Lori and Wayne Henninger. Ruby is an honors level student at Blue Mountain High School who is involved in several activities including National Honor Society, Math Honors Society (Mu Alpha Theta), National Social Studies Honor Society, National English Honor Society, Phi Sigma, Aevidum, Mini-thon, Varsity Club, Physics Club, and Senior Planning Committee. Ruby plays basketball and is a member of the track and field team. She is treasurer for the Class of 2025, National English Honor Society, and Student Council. Ruby plans to attend a four-year college to major in health sciences in order to pursue a career as a physician's assistant.

Owen Gretsky of Pottsville is a son of Jaclyn and Jamie Gretsky. Owen is an honors level student who is involved in a variety of activities including National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, Math Honor Society (Mu Alpha Theta), Science National Honor Society, National Social Studies Honor Society, Aevidum, and Diversity Club. Owen is a member of the varsity soccer team. Owen plans to attend Misericordia University to major in biology before going on to attain his doctorate in physical therapy.
