Bold & Blunt: More Christians running for political office, please

Fact is, America needs more Christians seeking political office. It's impossible to maintain the ideal of God-given rights and liberties for the individual, if those of godly character and biblical values don't fill the offices of government.

Without God-given, there's only government-granted.

And that's what is wrong with America right now: there are too many individual rights and liberties that should be inherent at birth, but are instead being used by the ungodly, unbiblically-based political classes to use as weapons of campaign war and as tools to get votes.

Meg Weinberger, a self-described political outsider, said she decided to seek a state House seat in Florida because she was so fed up with the status quo, particularly in education, that she felt moved to act.

"It's very important for all of us to do our job," she says. "It's our job to protect our country."

And that means Christians.
