LENNOX, S.D. (KELO) — The High School Activities Association started recording state champions in class 11A in 1981. Lennox won the championship in 1982. Now, 42 years later, the Orioles are looking to win another title, relying on one of the state's top quarterbacks. KELOLAND Sports HS Football Championship Preview Show – Nov. 13 Lennox has leaned on the state's best scoring offense this season, as the Orioles are posting more than 38 points per game. "I think we've got a lot of good playmakers and a lot of good players. The senior has thrown for more than 28-hundred yards and 33 touchdowns, while rushing for 386 yards and four more scores. That means that Katzer accounts for 293 yards and more than three touchdowns per game. "He's a better letter, becoming more mature, becoming stronger, throwing the ball more accurately and knowing the plays," Flanagan said. "I would say everything that you could be to be a good quarterback and a good player, he's been doing that." And of all that success has only strengthened Katzer's passion for football. "I've just developed way more of a love for the game. Freshman year I was kind of just out there to be there," Katzer said. "As it's winding down, I don't have many more moments like this, so I'm just going to take advantage of every single one that gets put in front of me." Lennox will play for the 11A State Championship on Saturday. Kick-off is at noon against Sioux Falls Christian
