Brian Jack on winning Georgia’s Third District seat
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A former aide of Donald Trump won Georgia House District 3 on Tuesday night.
The seat, previously held by Drew Ferguson who is not seeking re-election, was won by Brian Jack, who was challenged by Democrat Maura Keller.
Jack worked for the trump administration from the first day to the last day. He entered the race in January with strong support from the former president.
He won the primary in a runoff. And was the big favorite to in a district that leans hard right.
He's looking forward to his new role and fully expects to working with trump.
"No question. I spoke with him earlier this evening. He was kind enough to congratulate me on my win, and that was only 2 hours ago," said Jack. "But the numbers then were good. The numbers look even better right now. I think he wins our state by at least two points, maybe three points, which is a huge improvement from 2020. I think you're seeing that across the country right now is an overperformance, and I think that's people resonating with his message. And his message is my message, the economy, it's immigration and it's restoring sanity to our government."
