Bridgeport schools ready for safe return following threat
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) – Bridgeport Public Schools are prepared to reopen Monday with wht they say are comprehensive measures to ensurethe safety and well-being of students and staff. This comes after Friday's closure due to a threat last week.
According to the Superintendent's office the district worked closely with law enforcement to investigate and make an arrest but still there still will be a strong police presence at the school's on Monday. In addition existing safety protocols have been reviewed and will be reinforced.

Superintendent Dr. Carmela Levy-David says "We are confident that these measures will provide a safe and secure environment for our students to return to their educational activities."
Counseling and support services will be available to student and staff who may need them.
