BRITTANY Cartwright says the second season of The Valley will be explosive as she finally reveals why she decided to file for divorce from Jax Taylor.

The Bravo star, who first split from her husband of almost five years in February, made it official last month and asked for primary legal and physical custody of their three-year-old son, Cruz.

Brittany has faced criticism from fans for years as she put up with Jax's previous cheating during their time on Vanderpump Rules , and put-downs on the show's spin-off.

But she's always been steadfast in her support for Jax and took their marriage vows seriously, before finally pulling the plug for the sake of their son.

The U.S. Sun had an exclusive chat with Brittany, who said the second season of The Valley is going to be dramatic.

"There's been too much. I think everyone will see whenever the season airs why I finally got to the point where I did," she said.

"I think a lot of people are gonna be shocked with everything that I've actually gone through that they're gonna learn about."

She also said the series will be "super relatable" for fans who will have gone through similar experiences.

"We all are going through so many different things," she said.

"I mean, going through a divorce, going through getting engaged, and just like all these different things that are going on that are gonna be seen and the different friendships and the different struggles that we all have going on and going through.

"I think it's gonna be one of the craziest seasons of reality TV, ever."

Brittany, 35, admits she is enjoying single life already as she gets used to being on her own with Cruz.

She said, "I'm just having fun right now. Nothing serious, but definitely enjoying the single life. I think I deserve that. And I'm liking the attention and having fun and things like that.

"I don't know if I'm ready for a full-on relationship yet. I have a lot of things I have to work on myself for as well because again, I never expected that me and Jax wouldn't be together.

"I thought he was my lifelong partner. So I've got a lot of things I gotta work on myself. But I do feel really good and I am enjoying being single, nothing serious right now. But, you know, it's fun."

"I'm just seeing where life takes me, you know? If I fall in love again, right? I wouldn't have a huge wedding again, but I would do something fun.

"I don't even know if I would like legally get married again because this is crazy. But, I'm honestly just seeing where life takes me.

"I've always wanted more kids. I've always, always said that I love kids. I love being a mom. It's the best thing I've ever done.

"I would love to have a sibling for Cruz one day, but I just don't know if that's in my cards right now.

"I mean, look at how happy she [Lala] is and I've met her baby and she's absolutely gorgeous and I was like, 'Hey, maybe you could just share some of your sperm with me.' Joking, obviously."

Brittany says she's had a lot of support from her fellow castmates, including Lala Kent , after Jax also left a mental health facility following treatment.

He recently revealed on Instagram that he has been diagnosed with biopolar disorder and PTSD.

"Lala has definitely helped me realize a lot of things and a lot of things that I need to do," she said.

"[She] and Scheana have both been super supportive of me and, you know, they're my mom friends. We all had our kids at the same time.

"We've all been through so much together. So they both have been like an amazing sounding board to me and they just try to give me all the best advice and especially with Lala through the co parenting and stuff, she can't stand person, but she never tries to let Ocean see that or anything.

"I admire that and I'm gonna try to like use that and make sure that Cruz always knows his daddy loves him. He's a great dad. Mommy loves you. I'm a great mom. We love you and you're always gonna be first."

Brittany says she is still working at the bar they run, Jax's in Studio City , but it might not be forever.

She said, "I'm still involved with the bar. I'm just trying to take a little space because I need space from Jax. So I'm still involved.

"I'll have nights where I'm gonna go in and meet people and you know, do that. Like, I'll host tonight, he'll host tonight. They still have Mamaw's beer cheese.

"I still love all the partners and I do love the bar but right now I'm just kind of .. I gotta be careful."

Brittany revealed she is also looking at getting therapy to make sure she has the tools to deal with the major life transition.

"I'm looking for therapists and stuff to help me through this journey," she said.

"I'm doing all that stuff, working out is really great for me. It's a good way to work on my mental health.

"My family and friends have just been so incredible and so supportive.

"They let me vent, they let me be angry, they let me cry.

"I'm just trying to stay focused and stay positive and remain really strong for my son.

"I think he is just my driving force every single day to keep me on the right path. I'm a very positive person for the most part, I will get snappy and my redneck can come out, but I definitely try to stay in that positive mindset.

"Going through something so hard as what I've been going through for the past couple of months and still being able to feel positive and happy is like, I'm doing a really good job now."
