Browns, Giants injuries: Big Sunday updates on Jed Wills, Brian Burns

V.Rodriguez21 min ago
The Cleveland Browns and New York Giants will face off in Week 3 of the NFL season. The Browns are hoping to move to 2-1 after a disastrous Week 1 showing at home while the Giants need their first victory of the season.

Cleveland is a big favorite going into the game but announced on Saturday that veteran OT Jack Conklin will miss the game . That didn't stop the DBN staff from predicting a Browns victory but it was surprising.

New York also had a big injury scare with DE/OLB Brian Burns being added to the injury list with a hamstring issue that happened in practice on Friday. Generally, late-week injuries lead to inactive players on Sunday.

Early Sunday morning, we got an update on Burns:

Bad news for Cleveland as the Giants defensive line is the best part of their team right now.

While Conklin was ruled out, Burns is expected to face the Browns starting left tackle of the last few years with Jedrick Wills making his debut in Week 3:

Wills being back on the field before Conklin is interesting. Conklin had a more severe injury but was injured much earlier last year and returned to practice quicker than Wills.

We will have to wait until 11:30 for the official inactive reports to confirm the status of Burns and Wills but, for now, it sounds like the battle upfront will have both players.
