Sports Browns vs. Giants: New York Missing Star Pass Rusher?

The Cleveland Browns are preparing to host the winless New York Giants in a game that both teams desperately need to win.

The Browns are 1-1 and lost 33-17 at home to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 in embarrassing fashion before beating the Jacksonville Jaguars last week 18-13 in another game where the offense failed to take off.

The Giants have struggled this season on both offense and defense in losses to the Vikings and Commanders. The defense has allowed 49 points this season, and it could be without a key figure in Sunday's matchup vs. the Browns.

Per Ian Rapoport, the Giants have placed star pass rusher Brian Burns to the injury report on Friday.

"The #Giants have added pass-rusher Brian Burns to the injury report and is listed as questionable with a groin injury," Rapoport posted on X .

The Giants are trying to get their first win of the season, and without a key cog of the defensive machine, it could be more difficult against a Browns offense that improved in Week 2 but still failed to click on all cylinders.

Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson has led the team to a 1-1 record by throwing for 355 yards with a 58.2 completion percentage with one touchdown and two interceptions. He's also carried the ball 10 times for 59 yards and an additional touchdown.
