BSO: Alleged Gang Members Wanted for Multiple Murders Arraigned in Court
(Fort Lauderdale, FL) - Multiple defendants nabbed in a Broward Sheriff's gang investigation were arraigned in court today.
According to BSO, 8-members of a violent, criminal gang were apprehended after a months-long investigation.
They were indicted on 33 counts including murder, attempted murder and racketeering.
All eight pleaded not guilty during today's arraignment and are being held without bond.
BSO released the names of the suspects:
Sigmund Brown, 27, 3/6/1997, male, 2235 N.W. Farragut St., Hollywood, arrested 8/6/24
Kevaris Johnson, 23, 10/18/2001, male, 2540 S.W. 54th Ave., West Park, arrested 8/6/24
Gerard Charles, 30, 6/27/1994, male, 3010 N. 23rd Ave., Hollywood, arrested 11/7/24
Vondarious Davis, 29, 2/17/95, male, 335 S.W. 20th St., Fort Lauderdale, arrested 8/9/24
Rajah Rolle, 16, 3/11/2008, male, 5765 N.W. 58th Ave., Tamarac, arrested 11/5/24
Tyriq Jackson, 24, 10/19/2000, male, 10508 W. Sample Rd., Coral Springs, arrested 11/1/24
Jared McCabe, 25, 7/2/1999, male, 744 N.W. 14th Terr., Fort Lauderdale, arrested 11/7/24
Trayvon Key, 27, 3/28/1997, male, 219 S.W. 12th Ave., Dania Beach, arrested 6/3/2024
The arrest of the eight members, including the gang's leaders, helped solve eight homicides and more than a dozen attempted homicides.

9/16/2021 – Wisdom Williams shot and killed; body found in Hallandale Beach
4/9/2023 – Antjuan Dobard shot and killed in Pembroke Park
5/9/2023 – Vernaldo Donner and Terri McKenzie, shot and killed near I-95 in Fort Lauderdale; intended victim not in the car
7/19/2023 – Wayne Smith shot on 7/15/23 in Hallandale Beach; died from injuries 7/19/23
9/13/2023 – Dorothy Smart shot and killed in the driveway of her home in Fort Lauderdale
1/20/2024 – Terrance Farrington Jr. shot and killed at Best Buy in Plantation
1/28/2024 – Johnnie Henderson shot and killed in Miramar
"I applaud the work of the dedicated detectives, the valuable assistance from the State Attorney's Office and collaboration with our law enforcement partners to rid Broward County of these heartless, violent criminals whose evil and cruel acts took innocent lives and placed communities in fear," Sheriff Dr. Gregory Tony said. "Evildoers should be warned - we will not let up in our relentless effort to keep Broward County safe."
"Our community is a safer place today because of this joint investigation with our law enforcement partners. Eight homicides and more than a dozen attempted murders – including the slayings of innocent civilians – are solved and illegal firearms have been seized from convicted criminals. We will continue to seek justice for victims, fight gang violence, and make our community safer," Broward State Attorney Harold F. Pryor said.
