The non-profit animal rescue shelter cares for lost, abandoned, and abused animals and investigates animal cruelty cases. Adams County SPCA is currently not taking in stray animals to ensure the health and well-being of Celtus and the other surviving animals rescued from the bus.

Adams County SPCA posted an ad on Facebook asking community members to consider helping Cletus find the home he deserves.

Cletus can be adopted through the Adams County SPCA website .

Eastern Adams Regional Police Department responded to a report of a disabled school bus last month, and what they found was nothing short of horrific. Today, most of the animals involved are safely being nurtured back to health thanks to the organizations involved.

"I'm horrified at the conditions that these people lived in," said Eastern Adams Regional Police Chief Francis Staab . "It's actually occurring in my 44 years of law enforcement. I have never seen conditions like this before."
