GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB)—Familiar faces rocked the runway to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House of North Central Florida. The Butler Plaza Center hosted the fifth annual Rock the Runway. Organizers of the fashion show partnered with the Ronald McDonald House of North Central Florida to create an evening of fun, fashion and philanthropy. Models, including our very own morning anchor, Kristin Chase, rocked the runway in pieces from a range of clothes from the butler shops. Other models wore pieces from shops such as Tillys, Narcissus, Kendra Scott, Fan Outfitters, Anthropologie and more. One model says he wants to model for many years to come because it feels good to give back to the community. "I feel pretty excited," said Jarvis Decoursey. "It's a great cause and anytime I can give back to the community and give back to kids who are less fortunate is always a great opportunity." Decoursey says he was enjoying every second of not only his minute of fame but also the event. "I'm going to forever be a model for Rock the Runway." Attendees paid to vote for their favorite model, with all proceeds benefiting the Ronald McDonald House. They had a goal of raising $50,000 and exceeded that goal with more than $52,000.
