BVU Authority loses power feeds from TVA

BRISTOL, Va. (WJHL) — BVU Authority customers are experiencing an outage Monday afternoon.
BVU Authority posted on social media that "preliminary reports are telling us that BVU has just lost its wholesale power feeds from the Tennessee Valley Authority."
News Channel 11 holds telethon for United Way disaster relief fund
According to the power provider, it is working with the Tennessee Valley Authority to investigate the issue and hopes to have service back as soon as possible.
The BVU Authority outage map stated that as of 4:18 p.m., there were 46 total outages in its provider area. The map states 189 customers are affected.
