Caddo deputies finds skydiver deceased

SHREVEPORT, La. ( KTAL/KMSS ) — Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office (CPSO) shared that at approximately 3:20 p.m., a missing skydiver was found deceased a couple of miles from the intended landing location.'

Caddo deputies reported they were searching for an Asian man who was last seen skydiving in the Gilliam area. At 1:25 p.m., CPSO received a report from Gilliam Airport about a missing skydiver.

'Upon arrival, deputies learned that the skydiver's parachute had failed to deploy. The individual was wearing an orange wingsuit at the time of the incident.'

CPSO states the search for the skydiver involves the Caddo Sheriff's Office, Life Air Rescue, North Caddo Medical Center, the Wildlife and Fisheries Department, and the Caddo Fire District.
